The company was founded in 1987 in response to the inability of local furniture manufacturers to deliver the design and international quality standards required by our very discerning clientele. It was primarily a design consultancy service providing interior design service to mostly oil companies in Nigeria but has since entered into furniture manufacturing using cutting edge technology and Italian technical expertise.
With over 20 years experience of outfitting homes, offices, hotels, airport lounges, restaurants, apartment buildings, showrooms and boutiques, we pride ourselves on having something for everyone to inspire our clients’ emotional well-being and provide a productive ambience that reinforces their image and branding through their choice of furniture and interior design.
The company has restructured twice, first in 1997 as we expanded from the oil business to the financial industry, office accommodation and finally large scale residential properties; and again in 2008 when the company went truly international with a world-class manufacturing operation and showroom, and a technical management agreement with a well-established and reputable Italian Furniture manufacturing company.

I0 Furniture has made an important contribution to the development and appreciation of furniture manufacturing & interior design in Nigeria. The Executive Director, Mrs. Muni Shonibare is one of the first qualified Interior Designers in Nigeria graduating from the Istituto del Arte e Restauro in Florence, Italy. The company and our clients draw on her wealth of skills and experience in her field and in the art world. She is the founding President of the internationally affiliated Interior designer’s Association of Nigeria (IDAN)
